Job Title: Middleware Engineer with OpenShift Experience:
Location: NC - Onsite
We are seeking a talented Middleware Engineer with expertise in OpenShift to join our team. As a Middleware Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining middleware solutions, with a focus on IBM MQ, WMB/IIB/ACE, and OpenShift. Your experience and knowledge in these technologies will contribute to the success of our projects.
Primary Skills:
- Experience in WMQ/IBM MQ, including MQ clustering, Gateway connections, and client connections to queue managers.
- Strong proficiency in WMB 8, IIB 10, and ACE 12.
- Hands-on experience in MQ/IIB migration projects.
- Experience in migrating workload from Middleware WMB to OpenShift.
- Solid working experience in WMB and OpenShift.
- Proficiency in deploying IBM Cloud Pak for Integration over RedHat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
- Good knowledge of Linux Containers (Docker), Kubernetes, and deployment of containerized applications/microservices architectures.
Good to have:
- Knowledge of CI/CD methodology and tooling, such as Jenkins and Harness.
- Experience with system configuration tools like Ansible and Chef.
- Cluster maintenance and administration experience on OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Development and maintenance of OpenShift and Kubernetes orchestral container platforms in operational condition.
- Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis and produce reports for critical issues.
- Experience in OpenShift implementation, administration, and support.
- Strong knowledge and experience in RHEL Linux.
- Ability to manage OpenShift Management Components and Tenants.
- Participate as part of a technical team responsible for the overall support and management of the OpenShift Container Platform.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in middleware engineering, with a focus on IBM MQ, WMB/IIB/ACE, and OpenShift.
- Strong understanding of MQ clustering, Gateway connections, and client connections to queue managers.
- Hands-on experience in WMB 8, IIB 10, and ACE 12.
- Experience in workload migration from Middleware WMB to OpenShift.
- Proficiency in deploying IBM Cloud Pak for Integration over RedHat OpenShift Container Platform.
